Anchoring Resilience: Support First Nations & Métis Youth
At Dre Erwin Photography, our mission extends beyond the lens. We believe in the transformative power of Therapeutic Photography to provide a visual anchor for healing and resilience, especially for First Nations and Métis youth in remote Canadian communities.
Your contribution makes a meaningful, direct impact on their journey toward mental well-being and self-discovery.
Here is how you can support this critical mission:
1. Financial Contributions: Funding the Future
Your monetary contributions directly support the foundation of our youth programs (like the Pinehouse Club). Donations go a long way in providing:
-
Essential Resources: Cameras, lenses, and editing software for training workshops.
-
Mentorship: Opportunities for ongoing training and mentorship in visual storytelling and photojournalism.
-
Empowerment: The chance for youth to share their own narratives through a positive, therapeutic medium.

2. Camera Equipment Donations: Pass on the Light
We warmly welcome your donations of gently used cameras and related equipment. These contributions provide invaluable tools for nurturing creativity, self-expression, and therapeutic exploration among young individuals.
-
Your Impact: Donating your gear ensures that every young person who joins the program has the necessary tools to begin their therapeutic journey and find their voice through the lens.
-
What We Accept: Gently used DSLR and mirrorless cameras, lenses (prime and zoom), tripods, and monitors.
-
To Donate Gear: Please follow the instructions in our Equipment Donation Guide or contact us to coordinate the shipment and ensure your equipment reaches the community safely.
Thank you for being a part of our mission to empower the next generation of photographers and make a positive impact on the lives of First Nations and Métis youth through the art of photography. Your generosity enables us to continue anchoring resilience in their communities.
