When the Sky Danced

Book 1 in Under the Northern Lights, for ages 4–8. Follow Kai’s journey of curiosity and hope in northern Saskatchewan.

Author visits & photo sessions

Northern stories: a 30–45 minute author session for early years and primary groups.

A new lens on your community: a 60–90 minute photography activity for older children and youth.

Start a photography club: a 60-minute online discussion for educators and community facilitators, with in-person support by arrangement.

Childrens Book

The Little Boy Who Found Happiness

Created with Pinehouse Photography Club members and available in English and Cree.

Educators should review the story before choosing it for a group. It includes grief following a parent’s death by suicide.

Plan with your host team

Local educators and facilitators guide age suitability, cultural context, language needs and accessibility. A host stays with the group and manages supervision and permissions.

Sessions offer creative learning and reflection. Dates, fees, travel, equipment and book costs are confirmed by quote around my northern nursing schedule.
