When the Sky Danced: A Book for Northern Communities
When the Sky Danced is the first book in my Under the Northern Lights children’s series, inspired by northern Saskatchewan, the night sky and the stories that connect us to the land.
The book is intended for children ages 4–8. Through Kai’s journey, I hope young readers discover curiosity, courage and a little hope under the northern lights.
Publication is being finalized, with availability anticipated toward the end of October 2026. I am reviewing the printed proof before making copies available, so the timing may change.
One of my biggest goals is to help get these books into schools, libraries, early years programs and northern or rural communities. If you work with children or know a community organization that might benefit, please reach out about individual or group orders.
Photography has shown me how powerful it can be when young people have opportunities to create, explore and see their own surroundings differently. This book is another way to share that sense of possibility.
