Finding Light Together: A Pinehouse Photography Club Moment Under the Northern Lights
Some photographs say more than words. Two people stand hand in hand on a lakeshore beneath the northern lights, their reflections stretching across the water. This is a moment from the Pinehouse Photography Club in northern Saskatchewan.

I founded the Pinehouse Photography Club to create opportunities for young people to explore photography, connect with others and express what matters to them. Working alongside First Nations and Métis communities taught me the value of listening to young people rather than speaking for them.
For me, this photograph captures the heart of that work: connection, belonging and finding beauty in the darkness.
